PPC PRACTICE / OBSERVE BEFORE YOU ACT
Stay with
the signal.

Build the habits behind thoughtful pay-per-click work: inspect the evidence, explain the uncertainty and leave a decision someone else can follow.
FICTIONAL DATA.REAL PRACTICE.
Something changed.
What do you
know so far?
A drop in the report is a starting point.
Check the date range, definition and collection of the result. A lower recorded count does not, on its own, establish a fall in demand.
A number moved.
Your first move?
Choose a response to examine the reasoning behind it.
THREE PLACES TO WORK
Open the question.
Then work it through.

SEPARATE THREE THINGS
Seen.
Suggested.
Authorised.
Observation. This describes the report. It does not yet explain why the count changed.
A FICTIONAL COMPARISON
80 56
The gap is 24 events. That calculation tells you the size of the difference, not its cause.
Inspect the comparison
MAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY VISIBLE
Good judgement
includes knowing
whose call it is.

Bring the observation.
Record where the number came from, which period it describes and what differs from the previous comparable view. Leave the explanation open.
One person may hold several roles. The responsibility and agreed scope still need to be clear.

“What changed?”
“Here is what I checked.
Here is what is still open.”
A clear handover connects the observation to the next check. It gives the next person a way to continue, even when the answer is uncertain.
LEAVE A TRAIL, NOT A GUESS
The next person
should not have to
rebuild your thinking.
A compact record can carry the observation, check, decision, owner and review point. Keep confidential evidence in the approved place, not in a public practice tool.

PRACTISE THE CONVERSATION
Explain the
next check.
Keep the same evidence. Change what you make clear to the person listening.
Name the report, the exact comparison and the check you need help with. Say what has already been ruled out and what remains uncertain.
BEFORE YOU START
A few useful answers.
Are these live campaign results?
No. All exercise counts, release notes and business situations are invented for learning. The photographs are original illustrative scenes, not records of client work.
Does this connect to an advertising account?
No. The tools run in the page and do not connect to an advertising platform. They do not change budgets, bids, tracking or account settings.
Will this give me a qualification or a job?
No qualification, recruitment service or employment outcome is offered. The materials help you practise reasoning and explaining your work.
Where do my practice notes go?
They stay in the current page until you reload or leave. You can choose to download a local file. Only the separate enquiry form submits information to this website.
What should I check against current platform guidance?
Check live product definitions, settings and permissions with the relevant platform’s current official documentation. These exercises teach a review process rather than a platform-specific configuration.
Keep the
conversation clear.
Ask about an exercise, describe a correction or tell us which explanation needs more detail.
